Christian House Of Bread
This page is for people who want to know what's all the fuss about Jesus.
The term Christian means that you are His. So why do people choose to belong to Jesus? God offers each of us enough faith to accept His invitation of salvation. Everyone gets this offer... this moment of clarity. People choose to accept Jesus, because Jesus loves them and Jesus offers the truth about life and why we are here.
The only catch is truth. You must believe truly. You can't just say the words. God knows what's in your heart. He knows if you believe.
Belief is trusting in, clinging to, relying upon Jesus. This is an ACTIVE belief; if you truly believe, your deeds and how you spend your time and what your mind is mostly on... these things are evidence of belief.
Faith is surity of things hoped for. So, this is not the worldly definition of faith... blind and unsure. The faith that comes from Jesus is sure. Faith only comes from God, so you don't want to reject or squander the faith that has been given.
God is just. God offers each of us enough faith to accept His invitation of salvation. Everyone gets this offer. Some people, however, reject this offer. The reasons are varied, but what it all boils down to is that they love something, that they know, from which God will free them. Many times the rejection stems from a bad experience with a Christian and they don't want to be like that person nor be associated with such by others.
But God knows. He sees your heart.
If you're a person that truly wants to know the truth about what life is all about & why you are, then you'll say yes to God's offer.
Everyone's salvation experience with Jesus is different, because we are all different. This truly is a come-as-you-are moment.
Talk to God. Talk to Him from your heart.
Tell Him if you're struggling with pride, and that you don't want to look foolish.
Tell Him if you don't know if He's even listening.
But most of all, tell Him that you love Him and that you give your life to Him.
Then you will start hearing Him in your heart. He'll communicate with you.
If you prayed to Jesus to be saved, you might be asking what to do now.
1. Stay in communication with God by talking to him (praying) and reading the bible. The bible is God's word. Praying and contemplating God's word makes that "still small voice" louder.
2. Guard your faith. This is very important to know right away. The devil and his demons want to steal, kill, and destroy. Faith and the tribulation that increases your faith are from God. But it's up to you to cling to that faith by always turning to God in good times and in bad times.
3. It is important to be Born Again. So if you feel like you have been "talked into" the logic of being a Christian, but you have no personal relationship with Jesus and no "supernatural" experience with Him, then ask God for this transformation. If you can be talked into the "religion", then you can very easily be talked out of it. You need the Holy Spirit in your heart or that shallow "faith" may not last very long; or some have gone years and years in the Christian "culture" and then just decide to do something else. Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing to "decide" to be a Christian, but the fact is that you're not a Christian really until you are Born Again.
